Read a review of Riverdog Retreat on TripAdvisor. Check us out on Facebook. Listed in Ohio Magazine's Reader's Choice for romantic getaways. We host a few not-for-profit "roots music" concerts in our historic barn and gallery. For information, please see our music website: Riverdog Music. Guests staying at Riverdog are invited to attend the music barn performances without charge.

The property is also the home of Riverdog Studio/Gallery and is owned by artists Deborah Banyas and T.P. Speer who are also the hosts at Riverdog Retreat. Their training in the hospitality industry is "zero" unless you count their 35 years of traveling and staying in one disappointing hotel after the next. Riverdog is their attempt to create the kind of place they always wanted to pull into but could never find.
